The Vectorcast snare drum shell thickness measures in at only 3mm, extremely thin, a result of theunique production of these exquisite drums. The Vectorcast snares are made from a plastic-resin-yarn, through a process often used in aerospace industries it is turned into a stabile ring with asolid structure. This produces solid, resonance rich shells with impressive sound characteristics.Similarly to the construction and nature of wood, the Vectorcast shells can deform and then returnto the original shape with every strike. This gives the Vectorcast snare next to its especiallysaturated and lively sound an unprecedented natural play feeling.
The hardware of the Hybrid Exotic Snare Drums includes the popular Pearl Elements that bring theideal sound results from their shells. Super Hoop II, STL-100 lugs, SR-1000 throw-off, everythingin chrome, adorn the dark shell matching the look to the sound. The lugs of the Hybrid Exotic SnareDrums feature something special. Housed inside each of them is another lug. Similarly to aconventional dowel, this lug holds the screw together with the head and hoop in place withoutcompromise giving the drum absolute tuning stability.
