The 907th Airborne Field Artillery Battalion is a tactical unit within the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). This battalion specializes in providing fire support to special operations forces during airborne assaults, direct-action operations, and stability operations. The 907th AFBn, headquartered at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is one of the few airborne field artillery units capable of deploying rapidly anywhere in the world on short notice to deliver accurate and effective fires in support of the joint force. The battalion's structure includes a Headquarters Battery, four Field Artillery Batteries (each equipped with M109A6 Paladin Self-Propelled Howitzers), an Aviation Company, and a Special Support Company that provides critical enablers to the battalion such as intelligence, surveillance, and communication. The 907th AFBn's unique ability to rapidly deploy and deliver precision fires from the air makes it an essential asset for the U.S. military in various contingencies.
